First Grade!

I can't believe that I have a first grader! It is going to be weird for the first couple of days, with him being gone all day long. He was up at 6:58am this morning, my alarm was set for 7:00am. He needed to come in and wake me up to tell me that I needed to make his lunch. Shawn wants him to buy his lunch, I would rather make it for him because I know he won't eat good, especially when it is something that he doesn't like! I don't think he realizes how long he is going to be at school! These first couple of days are going to be interesting.

The Fashion Show

I entered Hannah Lu into a fashion show the other day. I picked out her outfit, and shoes, and then brought her back the next day and dressed her up. In the end I got her clothes and shoes 20% off. Hey every little penny counts right? She was really cute, when we walked out she spotted her brothers, and my friends girls, and started yelling, "Hi, Hi". This will probably be the only time that I ever do this, not only is it not fun for me, I don't condone Toddlers and Tiaras!

Terrible 3's!

So I know this is absolutely revolting, but when Garrett has a tantrum, this is what he does now! Spits, and blows snot everywhere! Then he doesn't want to wear his shirt anymore because there is spit on it. Too Bad! So he throws another fit! Then he strips down! He ends up running around is his pull-up for the rest of the day. Hopefully this is just a phase and it will end sooner than later!

Lately....

Hannah Lu has been wanting to play outside alot lately, and Jackson has been really good entertaining her! He takes her for rides in the wagon, on the trike, and the plasma car. Now I have to watch her like a hawk because if the boys leave the front door open she can open the screen door and get out!
Enjoying her ride on the plasma car with big brother!

Couple more pictures

This is Crystal, and Quincy's cute house. It was raining when I took this picture as you can see. No one has grass!
This is their backyard! Yes mostly hill! When we first got there the kids all went out to ride their power wheel four wheeler down the hill. It was pretty funny! Jackson finally did it after sitting at the top of the hill for about 15 minutes!

Our first night at Crystal's house Jackson came downstairs with blood everywhere, and one tooth missing. So I got a paper towel and put some pressure on his gums and his other top front tooth came out in the paper towel! These are the teeth that I have wanted to come out so bad. They have been loose for a couple of months now! So if it takes hitting his face on the rail of the bunkbeds while on vacation, then so be it!!

Our trip to New Mexico!

This is where we stopped to eat lunch on our way down. It was about 12 miles outside of Moab. I had never been to Moab before. It was so cool Shawn and I are going to take the kids there. The kids did very well with the drive. It actually wasn't that bad, and it only took us a little more than 9 hours. Plus the drive was very scenic! We will definately be doing it again! We had so much fun with Crystal and her cute family, and are blessed to have them in our lives! They are planning on coming up here next spring and we can't wait!
We ate lunch and little starlings, and chipmunks were everywhere so we fed them some chips and crackers. The boys got a big kick out of that!

This was right next to our picnic area

Our babies...

They were so cute together, and got along so well. Two little miracles!

Landscapes...

This is what it looked like in Rio Rancho, a suberb of Albuquerque. There is just neighborhoods spread out everywhere. All the homes are earthtones too.
Many of the homes are square. They are very authentic to the culture, I loved them!

Crystal took us to an upscale part of town where they do have grass. Mainly because they can afford to keep it up. Otherwise grass is very scarce!

Every now and then you would come across these teeny adobe houses.

My favorite was the their entry ways with the big gates into their front yards.

Old Town Albuquerque

Crystal took us to Old Town, Albuquerque, it was really neat. There was lots of little shops, restaurants, and candy! That is all the kids ate! I love all the arcitecture.
Every where we went we got asked if Blake and Hannah Lu were twins! It was pretty funny. It dawned on us though that people were thinking that they were my twins, not Crystal's! Maybe the light skin and blonde hair had a little something to do with it!

This is all of the kids from left Blake, Hannah Lu, Bryan, Jackson, Benjamin, Garrett, Brandon, and Cybil. They all got along great, and had so much fun together!

Monticello Temple

On our way home it was important to the boys that we stop and see the Monticello Temple. I thought it was cute because they were so excited, and wanted to take pictures. I think the temple was closed, there wasn't a soul around. What a beautiful little temple!
