I got Christmas up a little earlier than usual this year because we are leaving for Disneyland on Saturday.
I decided to hang the stockings up in the living room this ear since we had some hooks left over from Halloween. I think it turned out really cute! My living room kind of feels like a little Christmas cottage. Now wish me luck on keeping the kids away from the tree. Especially Hannah Lu!
Shawn and I were married in the Seattle temple May 19, 2000. We have been together for almost 14 years, and married for 9. Our oldest son Jackson is 6 years old. Garrett our second is 2 1/2, and our youngest Hannah Lu is 5 months. All three of our children are miracles. We have truely been blessed.
Setting: Leaving Pappy's funeral (Shawn's grandfather)
Jackson: "Where are we going now"?
Me: We are going to the cemetary to bury Pappy.
Jackson: "Are we going to need a shovel for this"?
Setting: Jackson and Garrett building with lincoln logs
Garrett: wreking Jackson's house
Me: "Garrett that wasn't very nice".
Jackson: wreking Garrett's house
Me: "Jackson, two wrongs don't make a right". "You know better".
Jackson: throws a lincoln log, "Garrett your not fare"!
Garrett: "Your not, I'm going to the fair next year"!
Setting: Jackson riding in Nanee's (Shawn's mom) car down the freeway
Jackson: (everything is quiet, no one is talking) "I think I hear a crickett".
Setting: Driving past the cemetary up the hill
Jackson: "Is Isaac's grandpa buried there"?
Me: "Yes honey he is".
Jackson: "Oh I see it, it is the one with new flowers all over it".
Me: "Your probably right".
Garrett: "Is Isaac's grandpa in the floor"?
Me: "Yes Garrett, his body is in the floor, but his spirit is in heaven".
