Hearing Aids and fun times with the family....

On Friday the kids and I headed to Salt Lake. Hannah Lu had an appointment for her ears. When we got there they took molds on the insides of her ears for her hearing aids. I chose pink glitter for the part that actually goes in her ear, and pink metalic for the part that goes behind her ear. She tolerated the molds very well. That is good because she will need to have molds done every six months. So we will have many different colors to come. Apparently they can swirl up to three different colors together. It is nice that they make these so cute or cool, when it is hard to accept that your child has to wear them. Friday night my sister in law picked Gabriel up to stay at her house with us. Jackson and Gabriel were up until 1:00am texting to eachother on their DS's. I could hear them laughing across the hall. They finally fell asleep, until Jackson woke Amy up and wanted a drink of water at 4:30am. This is not like Jackson, he never wakes up in the night. Anyways, then Gabriel got up and said that there were too many wierd noises and he couldn't sleep. So neither one of them went back to sleep. Jackson came into where I was sleeping at 6:30am and wanted to get dressed because Gabriel was getting dressed. Oh my word!
Now it is Saturday, and we went to see Shawn's sisters new baby, she is so cute, and has a head full of black hair. Its hard to believe that my boys were that small too. Hannah Lu was our chunky monkey. Then we headed up to Park City to go on the Alpine slide and the roller coaster that zig zags down the mountain. We had so much fun, and it was so hot. It was 100 degrees in the mountains! Jackson and Gabriel were so tired they didn't know what to do with themselves. So we went to get a quick bite to eat before the kids and I hit the road home. We were all talking and I had told Jackson twice to quit just eating his cheetos and to eat some of his hotdog too. So I turned to tell him again and he was totally gone. He fell asleep sitting straight up in his chair. It was so funny. When it was time to go all three of them were asleep before I even pulled out of our parking spot. They slept like logs in their own beds, and Shawn didn't get home until after 11:00pm from work and I didn't even hear him get into bed. Apparently I was pretty tired myself!

Unwanted visitor

The other day the boys were outside playing while Shawn was tending to the yard. All of a sudden Jackson came running into the house, "Mom, Mom" come and see the snake! Well I don't like snakes or spiders. So of course to please the boys I reluctantly went out to see the snake. I guess it was just a gardner snake. But it was still gross. It is gone now, and I am glad. Maybe....like the spider......it went to the Caldwell's field. Kathy this is not a missing pet so don't bring it back!

Someone get this child a doll!

Jackson has become all to comfortable with getting Hannah Lu around the house on his own. So I found her in Jackson's room on his bed this morning holding a hammer. She got mad when Garrett took it away.

Uintah County Fair!

My friend Leesa and I decided to take the kids to the fair. Shawn and I usually take the kids to the demolition derby every year, but we passed this year. So Leesa and I took them down to go on the rides and have some treats. Apparently the carnival that usually does the fair double booked this year so they had to scramble to get what was there. Which ended up not being very much. There were only about 8 rides. We went on all of them except one. And $100.00 later I feel like we didn't go on any. Oh yah I forgot to mention that the prices were rediculous too! All for the kids though. They had a blast. I even got the girls and Jackson to go on a couple of bigger rides with me. Below you can see me on a ride with the twins. We were laughing so hard. It was fun! The treats that the kids are eating in the picture above took our last dollars. Leesa and I came home broke, and vowed to not tell our husbands how much we spent. In the end Leesa and I would do it again just to see the smiles on the kids faces.

First Cold

Well it came out of no where. I am counting this as her first cold, not the RSV because that just wasn't fare. Saturday afternoon Hannah Lu was not feeling that hot. I thought it was just her teeth until her snot was green. I was up with her the entire night! Hannah Lu hasn't not slept through the night since she has been home from the hospital. So we went to the doctor on Monday and it is a bacterial cold so he put her on augmentin. This is a picture of her sleeping like a log last night. I have discovered that when she is sick she won't let me put her down. She just screams. So after I took this picture I was able to get a few things done ar0und the house. And tonight? Well my family will get dinner. No stinky chicken nuggets from Mcdonalds.

Don't Ask.......

The other day I looked out my bedroom window to check on the boys playing out back and this is what I saw. It took me a second, but then I realized that these were wet paper towels they were draping over themselves. It has been very hot here, but I don't think that they were doing it to cool themselves off. As you can see in the picture below it eventually evolved to this. Of course all Garrett wanted to do was tean (clean) the trampoline. Jackson looks like he has created a masterpiece with the paper towels coming out of his ears, and carefully balancing them on his head.
Later that evening, I tended my friends girls so that she and her husband could go to the temple. When she came to pick them up we were standing out in front of my house and this thing below in the picture crawled across the sidewalk and into the grass. I was so discusting. I have never in my life seen a spider like that. Shawn pulled in from work and I showed him the pictures and he wanted to know why we didn't kill it. Well that even grossed me out more. It almost looked like it had a pinecone on its back. So if anyone know what kind of spider this is, I would love to know. In the mean time I will research it myself and hope to not see this one again.
Ok I figured out what kind of spider this is. This is a wolf spider carrying hundreds of babies on its back. If you click on this picture it will blow up and you can see the babies. Now that is nasty!
