Our new roof!

Finally, a new roof we have desperately need for a while now. We new we couldn't go another winter without it being replaced. We have been cleaning shingles up in our backyard everytime the wind would blow, and as you can see in this picture they are curling everywhere.
Shawn helped with the tear off and the clean up. Boy am I glad he isn't a roofer! I am sure he is too! The boys were cute, of course they wanted to help. In the mean time our dryer decided to not work anymore, so I was washing and then taking my laundry to my friends house and drying! Six loads! So I got my work out too!

This was Jackson's favorite thing to do. Everyday he would come home from school and get this huge magnet on wheels and walk through the yard and collect all of the nails. Suprisingly he also picked up staples from when we had the new siding put on!

Yah! Our new roof. We matched it perfectly. Although I would have liked it to be a little darker. But a little late now. Now onto new interior, and exterior doors! Shawn says he is going to hang them himself. That is going to be an interesting process!

Heaven and Hell...

This is the Mount Timpanogas Temple, with the Herriman (Machine Gun Fire) burning across the valley.

Growing up too fast....

I went to the dollar store the other day and found a back pack that Hannah Lu could put her stuff in when we go to Salt Lake. I had know idea that she would fall in love! She imediately realized that it was something that her brothers had, and wore it for 2 hours when we got home. Now she has to put it on every morning when the boys are getting ready for school. This morning I drove Jackson to school, and when we got into the car she started screaming and pointing at Garrett's backpack (because he was going to preschool) and saying "mine, mine"! She wanted hers too! I didn't have time to get it for her so we put it on when we got home. She is so funny, and little miss independant!

First day of pre-school!

Garrett was very excited to go to school today! I was relieved, I thought he would have a hard time. This is going to be so good for him, because he is shy like Shawn. He had his backpack on an hour before we even had to leave, and he wore it until we got to school. He just walked in and went downstairs! Jackson was really cute this morning, he was telling Garrett all about school, since he went for 3 years before kindergarten. He told Garrett that they were going to turn milk blue. Garrett was a little concerned, but I said if they do turn milk blue, he doesn't have to drink it. He felt better. Can't wait to pick him up!

Cole Family Day Camp!

Yesterday I decided to take the kids to Wyoming where Shawn's family has been camping for almost 2 weeks while the guys have been hunting. Shawn wasn't able to go, but he'll get a chance next weekend if they have not got anything yet. We had so much fun, the boys were in heaven! Of course besides the sweet kitchen set up and the shower, the 4 wheeler was the highlight! Thanks everyone for letting us hang out, and for all of the 4 wheeler rides!
Uncle Nicholas and his wife Brooklyn were there too. So Jackson and Garrett got to go for a ride on the 4 wheeler when we got there.

Uncle Alex, and Papa got back from hunting and at one point he and Auntie Amy and the boys were all on the 4 wheeler at once! A little crowded for Jackson so he jumped off and decided to wait for his turn.

Then Papa (Shawn's Dad) took Jackson for a ride....or should I say Jackson took Papa for a ride. Jackson drove around that campground like he had been driving for years!

Of course Hannah Lu had to have her turn too! She would walk up to the 4 wheeler and say Up, Up! She loved it!

Hannah Lu had so much fun just being able to run free. It took her about an hour to get used to the terrain, with the little bumps everywhere. But she managed really well. We had grilled bagels for breakfast, and Hannah Lu has a half of one in her mouth in this picture, along with her capri sun juice.

Hannah Lu wore her glasses for a little while but they were getting in her way when she would try and climb into a camp chair, so she took them off.

My little cowboy...

This year the boys have decided to be cowboys for Halloween. The boots we have been eyeballing for several months finally went on sale! They have been living in them. Also next week at Jackson's school is cowboy week to kick-off the reading for this year. So I got him a hat too. He is in heaven, I didn't think that he would wear it like he has. He puts it on first thing in the morning, and wears it all day if he can. Today we had church, and I had to explain to him that we don't wear hats to church. Garrett has been wearing his boots even with his shorts! I normally don't let my children run around in boots and shorts, but he is so happy to have them. I am confident now I have made a good purchase, but I am also glad we waited for the lower prices!
